Fed: DFAT issues new travel warning on Kuwait
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade says Australians should defer any non-essentialtravel to Kuwait.
The advisory comes amid heightened tension in the Middle East over a possible militaryattack on neighbouring Iraq.
Thousands of American troops are stationed in Kuwait.
DFAT urges Australians in Kuwait to register with the Australian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
